Experienced
Katrina has been around dogs her whole life, but started professionally training them a few years ago. She has dealt with many different breeds, sizes and temperaments. She believes every dog is different and every one needs a different approach in their training program. She will use positive reinforcement methods to train dogs, focusing on rewarding desired behaviors and building a strong bond based on trust and respect.

Successful
Over the years, Katrina has trained many dogs with success. She is experienced with the stubborn one who just would not follow through, the anxious one who did not know how to be left alone or deal with big emotions, or the over excited one who just could not settle. She has experience with many different behavioral issues as well as basic obedience. Every one who has stuck with the program had pups who moved on to be confident, well mannered companions.
Training a dog for good manners and behavior is an important aspect of good dog ownership. In this program, all of your dog’s training will take place during their daycare day at Pup Town. This 8-week program will include 1 hour of training each week. You will meet with Kat at the beginning of the program to discuss what your individualized needs are, and at the end of the program to learn how to continue with the work she has accomplished. The timeframe for seeing results varies based on the individual dog and the specific goals, but with consistent practice and guidance, improvements can be observed within a few weeks. Your dog must attend daycare one day per week during this session. Her programs can include any of the following:
Basic Commands:
Sit: Teach your dog to sit on command. This is a fundamental command and is useful in many situations.
Stay: Train your dog to stay in one place until you give them the signal to move.
Come When Called:
Train your dog to come when called. This is crucial for their safety and the safety of others.
No Jumping:
Discourage no jumping on people by ignoring your dog until they are calm, then rewarding them with attention.
Wait for Food:
Make your dog wait before eating. This helps prevent food aggression and reinforces your role as the pack leader.
