What does my dog do all day?

Our day begins at 7am.

From 7-10am dogs are arriving and playing in our play area as well as both fenced in areas outside. This is a great time! They are meeting new friends and playing with their current ones.

At 10am, we lock all of our doors and dogs are welcome anywhere in our building and outside. This creates a calming environment because they can see what is happening “over there” and know they aren’t being left out! This is usually the time we start an enrichment activity. This will vary from day to day, and some days it is a group activity like tunnel play and other days it is an individual activity like a food enriched lick mat.

Around 11:30, we start lunch for any daycare dog who brought a lunch and any dog who is staying overnight. For 60-90 minutes these dogs are in individual overnight spaces to eat, drink, digest and rest. The remaining dogs hang out with the Pup Town staff and often use this time to rest as well.

After lunch, we continue group play and this is often the best time of the day. Dogs are a little warn out, have found their friends, gone potty and just have a really good time socializing and finding their favorite spots.

From 4-6pm our doors reopen for pick up.

Do I need to bring food if only staying for daycare?

You are welcome to bring food if you feel your dog would like it or needs it. Please understand, your dog will be in a kennel for 60-90 minutes if you provide a lunch.

What can I bring for my dog if spending the night?

You may bring anything you like, and anything that makes your dog more comfortable is welcome at Pup Town. These items will remain in their overnight space and will not be shared with other dogs. Please understand anything you bring may need to be washed and could be destroyed by your dog. If you feel comfortable with the item in their overnight space, we do too. We are not responsible for anything that is damaged in the kennel or while being laundered. Please do not bring items to share with other dogs because we have a lot of food intolerances among our clients. You do not need to bring bowls unless your dog is picky but what they eat out of.

My dog has special needs. Can Pup Town accommodate this?

Pup Town has been designed to accommodate special needs. We have only 14 overnight spaces and we strive to feel as much like a home based dog daycare as we can. Everyone who works at Pup Town is there because they love to be with and take care of your pet. Some special needs have included eating at a specific time, a rest schedule, medicine, and injections. Please have a conversation with our staff if your pup has special needs.

Can my dogs share an overnight space? What is the overnight space like?

Your dogs can absolutely share an overnight space if that is how you feel they would be most comfortable. You are also welcome to book multiple spaces. Each of our spaces is 4x6, with floors slightly graded to a drain incase of an accident, and each space includes a raised Kuranda bed if desired. The side panels are opaque and the fronts either have a clear front or a panel at the bottom. Some dogs are more comfortable seeing out, and some rest better when they don’t know what is happening around them.

Can I have a tour?

While we don’t offer tours due to building space, we do offer visibility. From our lobby area there are 3 windows where you can see into our kitchen, our entire play area, and into our yards. From these 3 windows, nearly the entire building is visible.
